“Today I went up to San Francisco to get fitted up on the bike by Jay Courant. He’s got a PT background with a lot of cycling experience as well. He’s got quite the system with lasers, levels, spin scans, and everything else you could imagine. Jay was awesome in helping me out and ironing out some issues I was going through. He is easily the best fit guy I have every had. So, if you need a good fitting and want to come away feeling good on the bike and confident in your fit go see Jay. He’s the man.”

"Having a good bike fit is pivotal to not only your cycling success and enjoyment, but also your comfort and health. Jay understands a bike fit is a dynamic process that requires rigorous attention to detail, but also a keen understanding of biomechanics and of the sport. With his background in physical therapy, he is the optimal person to fit you on your bike, and can trouble shoot any areas of discomfort you may feel. With a successful road bike and time trial fit with Jay, and continued contact with him as I develop as I cyclist, I take comfort that I am not only set up on my bike perfectly, but I have a great resource in him as well. With my outstanding experience with Jay, I have now sent my entire family, including my dad, my mom, and my husband, all of whom have varying experiences and goals on the bike, yet all received phenomenal service and excellent fits that not only optimized their performance, but comfort as well. There is no better investment to you and your bike then this! Thanks, Jay!"

“…What I also knew was that if I wanted to do well, I needed to use my bike as my weapon. I was a little nervous about the bike ride because I had gotten a new frame the week before the race. Although it was the same BMC TT02 I had been riding, I changed a lot of things about my bike right before I left. My sponsor Scott Thomson at QBP had sent me new Zipp Vuka Bars and new chain rings. David Cathcart at CycleOps had sent me some Blackwell Wheels to borrow for the race with a PowerTap built into them. Jay Courant had to deal with my bike fit one week before the race. I came in with this new bike, new parts, new wheels, and he put together the best bike fit he could. Apparently he did a pretty phenomenal job.”

“I had never been to a professional bike fitting before, and couldn't have chosen a better person as my first! Jay not only got me incredibly comfortable on my TT bike, but I was amazed at how much my power output increased! I was injury free thereafter, and I took over 20 minutes off my Ironman bike split that year! My only disappointment has been the fact that when I got my new TT bike we were on different continents and I couldn't see him for another setup!” - Kathryn Kronje, pro triathlete, South Africa
“I had a TT bike for a year and Jay took a fresh new look at my position. We spent a good three hours adjusting everything from cleats, to my knee angle and shape of my back curve. He didn't skip a single detail and the result was fantastic. I was more aero, could apply more power and felt comfortable on the bike, even at an Ironman distance.”

"What integrity! What skills! When we met for my first bike fit Jay spent an hour taking measurements before declaring that he would not charge me for our session because he could not satisfactorily fit me to my bike, which was too large for my body. He didn't fake it. He recognized my abnormally long femurs and my short torso and he would not fit me to a bike that was "unfittable." But, he didn't stop there. With my permission, Jay contacted the bike shop that had sold me the wrong frame size a year earlier and he politely convinced the store manager to swap my frame for a smaller one. And, finally, after helping me get the right frame size, Jay hooked me up with a comfortable fit that helped shave 21 minutes off of my previous Ironman bike split. His integrity and his deep technical knowledge resulted in a great outcome for me. Thank you Jay!!!"

“It not only was a pleasure meeting and working with you, it also was a major confidence builder for me hearing your expertise and knowledgeable solutions to eliminating my knee pain issues when bike riding. I look forward to further work with you and even more ....getting out on the road and riding.”

“In a word, AWESOME! The bike fit and adjustments you gave me on May 10 have had an incredibly positive impact. I don't think it's any exaggeration to say that my performance has increased 10%. My average speed on all my regular rides has increased significantly. My regular climbs are easier now, and I can ride longer at any heart rate threshold. I am more comfortable too. Just the minor adjustment we made to my saddle level has made the riding much more enjoyable. I have better control of the levers. Thanks very much for all your help and riding tips. I definitely got my money's worth.”

“Thanks for spending so much time with me. It was extremely informative, and it feels like I'm riding a completely different bike. A bike that I wouldn't mind keeping (even if the geometry and size aren't the best for me). It feels much more like a racing fit, and I immediately felt new muscles being engaged that were dormant before. I've been adjusting to it this weekend. Overall it seems like I'm going faster, ie I'm getting more power out of my legs. I've also been working on nutrition and riding out of the saddle this weekend. The nutrition sure helps me feel better during the ride and no cramping! Riding out of the saddle is something that'll take some work. I noticed that, with the saddle much higher, getting out of the saddle isn't really standing up (like it was before), it's more just shifting forward a little off the saddle.”
